Summer Schools And Fun Clubs 2010 Gear Up For The Season

Bookings for Bangkok’s summer schools and fun clubs for kids may result in shortage of family hotel rooms.

Summer school programmes after term ends are popular with parents whose kids attend international schools all over Thailand, and always include learning through playing as well as fun. The capital city of Bangkok has many international schools which provide the service, not just for their own pupils but for other children as well.

Ploenchit International Kindergarten’s Summer Fun Club 2010 is one of the most popular, and incorporates two programmes, with the first beginning 28 June and ending 21 July and the second running from 22 July to 19 August. Parents who holiday in Bangkok hotels during the school break find the programmes useful for keeping their kids occupied

Both Ploenchit’s summer programmes aim to give children aged between 2 and 6 confidence and knowledge through interesting, enjoyable and creative experiences involving music, drawing, crafts and games as well as lessons. Daily reports are sent to parents, and classes contain no more than 15 children.

The Thai capital has been a major tourist destination for many years, with the summer period a favourite with families from colder climes. Although the city has many hotels, finding suitable family accommodation during the summer months is best done by booking well in advance.

Lek Boonlert, marketing director of DirectRooms.com, comments, “We advise that hotel bookings for suitable family accommodation should be arranged as early as possible, as rooms of this type in Bangkok are sought after during the holiday period.”

Parents who wish to enrol their kids in the Summer Club should contact Ploenchit International Kindergarten at 02 256 6452-3.
