The Kid Whisperers Are Helping Kids Discover Their True Potential And Gift Within

The Kid Whisperers Ask The Obama Family To Give a TV Address This Holiday Season That Empowers Kids to Rise Above the Failing Educational System

Entrepreneurs, Sue Woodward and daughter, Wendy Garrido, BA Psychology and Economics, University of Chicago are The Kid Whisperers, helping kids discover their true potential.

In 2007, they founded North Star Family Matters Magazine, the only magazine dedicated to the emotional health of kids and families. Now they have written a television presentation using their trademark system, Engage Aloud™ Questions, and are asking the Obamas to deliver this message to the children of the world.

Woodward says, “Now is the time in history for every child to hear that their success and well-being are the most important item on the national agenda. We help kids discover their innate potential and their right to ask for their needs to be met. The Obama family could be the most empowering messengers to remind kids what they’re capable of.”

The plan includes a script for a TV address and a network of volunteers to follow-up and work with children via Skype. Garrido states, “Rather than waiting for the educational system to change, we empower children to rise above the system and recognize their potential and gift within. The fact is that within every child is an enthusiastic learner. The problem is that most kids don’t believe they’re smart.”

Kids come into the world motivated to learn. It’s our job to keep that love of learning alive because no kid wants to be a failure. In just a short amount of time The Kid Whisperers get to the root of the problem, consulting and working with kids to let them figure out their own answers.

“Learning is about the brain figuring things out, in reading and in life, and it happens in its own unique way. We can’t tell a kid how to ride a bike. We can offer support, but ultimately they have to be motivated to get on the bike and figure it out. When it comes to school, our job is to give them the belief that they can and will figure it out.”

The latest brain research shows that how we feel about ourselves in the world might be the biggest factor in addictive behavior. The future of treating drug and alcohol addiction is to empower kids at a young age with the truth that they have a gift to bring to the world.

Parents, relatives, and kids can write a letter of support to The Kid Whisperers, which will be forwarded on to the Obamas, asking them to give the gift of empowerment to all children this holiday season.
