Learning English This Summer At SGI Couldn’t Be More Exciting

With thousands of tourists descending on the English capital this summer, many international students are choosing to come to London to learn English while enjoying the best of British culture. By enrolling on a language course at St George International, students can spend time after classes enjoying major events such as the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics.

While the school has a strong focus on learning and improving English language skills, it also firmly believes that it is important for students to relax and enjoy themselves as well. London offers much in the way of entertainment, and the school’s social organisers help students make the most of their stay in the exciting city. With lots going on in 2012, this summer is a great time to visit the UK capital.

In June people all across the UK will join in a huge celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee. UK citizens will get an extra two days holiday on 4 and 5 June to give them a chance to enjoy street parties and other events marking the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation. Elizabeth II has ruled England and the British Isles as well as being head of the Commonwealth since 1952 and remains a much-loved figure in British culture today.

The Jubilee offers students the perfect chance to get out on to the streets of London and practise their language skills with the locals. SGI’s social programme is designed to help students have a memorable time in London, make new friends and improve their skills in English.

SGI General Standard English Courses (including Advanced English Courses) can help students communicate more effectively in English by improving grammatical knowledge, language skills and confidence. All of St George International’s courses are accredited by the British Council.

General English courses are designed for students who wish to improve their ability to communicate in English while experiencing the sights and sounds of London. Prospective students can choose morning classes or ones that run all day. There is also a course combining a morning group class with afternoon one-to-one tuition.
