NEW SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCED

MATTHEWS, North Carolina, Mar-01-2017 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — The Hose Company has announced a new $1,000 education scholarship. The Hydrauli-flex Scholarship is designed to assist students in their last year of study, in any field that will utilize hydraulic technology.

“We are pleased to announce this scholarship, which reflects the importance of exploring the use of hydraulics in existing and new technologies” says Robert Smith, Director of Operations of The Hose Company. “The field of hydraulics encompasses the down to earth world of agriculture to the highest levels of space exploration, and we need new ideas and new uses for this technology.”

While the world of hydraulics may not seem as glamorous as other scientific or mechanical pursuits we agree with Mike Rowe, from Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs “there’s still a thing called opportunity, and that is what students need to pursue.” Our scholarship supports students in the pursuit of opportunity.

The scholarship is valued at $1,000 and will be awarded to the winning student based on their essay submission, experience in the field of hydraulics, and recommendations from work, Co-Op, and community sources. The scholarship will be awarded without regard to financial circumstances. However, women in the field, and US Veterans will be given priority.

Students who are US citizens, or in possession of a current student visa, in good academic standing (3.0 or above) in their final year of degree completion at a public or private, 4-year institution, and in a discipline that would utilize hydraulics are eligible for the scholarship.

The online application and additional information can be found at https://www.hydraulichose.com/hydrauli-flex-education-scholarship/

The deadline for applications is June 30, 2017 with the award to be announced by July 30, 2017. The $1,000 scholarship will be sent directly to the financial office of the attended institution.

Lingvo dictionaries with new open API

lingvo_api_image_en

Moscow, Russia, 17-Nov-2016 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — ABBYY launches Lingvo API, an open API for its trademark Lingvo dictionaries.

The new ABBYY Lingvo API gives developers an opportunity to integrate translation, definition, suggested spelling and other features into their services using high-quality bilingual Russian dictionaries by ABBYY Lingvo.

Lingvo API gives access to 140 general and specialised dictionaries in 15 European and Asian languages. It’s open for integration into educational services for individuals, organizations and corporations, travel applications, readers and a variety of other products and solutions.

In 2012 ABBYY launched an API for Lingvo Android which has been integrated into a range of popular applications: YotaReader, Moon+ Reader, Moon+ Reader Pro and others. The key difference of the new API is that it is compatible with iOS, Android and web. Besides, now there’s no need for the end user to install the Lingvo applications on their device for the API features to work.

Using Lingvo API, developers can add a variety of features to their applications: full or short translation, definition, suggested spelling, word forms, pronunciation, a part of the word list, a specific dictionary entry, full-text search across all the dictionaries and more. With the integrated translation API, after tapping or clicking on the word or phrase, the user will see a pop-up card with its translation within the chosen language pairing, morphology, examples and can listen to the pronunciation. Lingvo API works online, an Internet connection is required.

“What’s the unique value of Lingvo API? It gives access to the exceptional collection of bilingual Russian dictionaries ABBYY is known for. That’s why it is a useful tool for a lot of services in education, travel, reading and more”, comments ABBYY’s Head of Mobile Artem Kumpel.

In the future, ABBYY is planning to use the new API to develop adaptable AI algorithms which will be able to create personalized learning models depending on the user’s progress, characteristics and needs.

Learning management and collaboration platform for educators and trainers LiberCloud announces integration with Microsoft Office Online

SAN FRANCISCO, 12-Jul-2016 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — LiberCloud, the cloud-based learning management system for instructors, trainers and educators, announces integration with Microsoft Office Online to better enable Microsoft PowerPoint slideshows as a delivery method for blended learning materials and to give the ability to incorporate existing PowerPoint content in new ways. Microsoft Corp. is making this possible with their Cloud Storage Partner Program, which enables cloud solution partners, such as LiberCloud, to create seamless integration with Office Online.

What’s New

LiberCloud’s existing learning content management solutions combine the best of instructor-led engagement, blended learning, and interactivity between instructors and students. This new release makes its platform even more flexible via seamless integration with PowerPoint Online so that users can create and store PowerPoint content directly within their existing LiberCloud authoring tools.

“We are very excited about LiberCloud’s integration with PowerPoint Online”, said Felice Curcelli, LiberCloud’s Co-founder & CEO. “It makes perfect sense because of the amount of content that teachers and trainers have already developed using either PowerPoint or PowerPoint look-alikes. It’s another step in our mission to make trainers and teachers more effective and students more engaged.”

How It Works

A slideshow in LiberCloud is a collection of learning assets that an author can combine in a slideshow for use in coursework and training classes. It helps instructors go beyond traditional slide decks and get more creative by incorporating other assets such as canvas slides, interactive tutorials, videos, assessments and polls.

An author typically embeds the slideshow in a LiberPage which is the building block within the platform for lesson plans, coursework and assignments.

Benefits

‘Blended Learning’ techniques are the trend for educators whether in school systems or corporate training environments, and LiberCloud’s enhancements are built to meet this demand. LiberCloud Slideshows with PowerPoint is an example of blended learning enablement and gives teachers and instructors flexibility to:

1. Share and reuse individual slides with ease. For example, if instructors want to incorporate PowerPoint charts or diagrams they’ve created in various lesson plans, they can add those native PowerPoint slides to new learning or instructional content. LiberCloud makes it easy to find individual slides and reuse them without duplicating content.

2. Brainstorm ideas with canvas-based slides via LiberCanvas, an app that lets users write and draw on a shared canvas as well as record content that can then be shared as videos. For example, instructors can give an individual or group assignment with a slideshow containing read-only background information along with canvas slides that they can write on and collaborate in real-time.

3. Engage students by combining PowerPoint slide decks with polls and assessments, to deliver during a slideshow and capture the results in real-time.

4. Make communication and feedback more personal and more effective by creating audio-visual annotations on individual slides.

“The integration of LiberCloud with PowerPoint Online creates new opportunities for teaching and learning for our joint users”, said Rob Howard, Director of Ecosystem, Microsoft. “Teachers will be able to leverage the native real-time co-authoring capabilities of PowerPoint Online and LiberCloud’s canvas-based collaboration and polls to increase student engagement.”

Integration with PowerPoint Online is a continuation of LiberCloud’s mission to give educators control and flexibility to deliver instruction material and assessments in a coherent and cohesive fashion. Visit their website for more information or to download the white paper Using LiberCloud Slideshows with PowerPoint in Instruction Materials.

Maria Oliveira Language Learning Center Moves to New Office in Richmond California

Richmond, California, April 9, 2016 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — Maria Oliveira Language Learning Center is moving to a new facility in Richmond California just in time for the Spring II term that begins April 25. The Richmond location is in an updated, modern building located at 3150 Hilltop Mall Road, and it features easy access with increased parking, comfortable classrooms and spacious meeting rooms. Affordable classes in a variety of languages will continue to be offered in the successful format designed by Maria Oliveira that has been so effective for over 25 years.

Maria Oliveira Language Learning Center Moves to New Office in Richmond California

“It’s always exciting to move to an entirely new venue,” says Linda Barrett, assistant to the President and Director of Programs at the Language Learning Center. “We chose this one for its location just off the Hilltop Road exit on Interstate 80, as well as for the modern facilities. Students and teachers find learning increases in comfortable surroundings.”

The new Center will continue to provide classes in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, and Italian. A focus on English for Non-Native Speakers, and the specialized programs designed for Health Care and Social Services, which both include Continuing Education Credits, make this language school unique and popular with individuals trying to work and study at the same time. Evening, weekend, and regular daytime classes are available.

Maria Oliveira has provided adult education for language learners for almost 30 years. Opening her own business, the Maria Oliveira Language Learning Center, was in response to needs and expectations clearly stated from local students who enjoyed her original approach to language learning. Her classes and products related to Spanish and Portuguese language skills use proprietary materials designed by Maria especially for adult students who have learning challenges that need to be addressed.

“I know first-hand the difficulty of working and going to school,” says Maria Oliveira, who kept a busy work schedule the entire time she was getting her university degrees. “Material for busy adults has to be uniquely structured for retention and growth. Our classes feature small groups of ten or fewer students so that there is more time for individual attention which, of course, leads to faster learning,” she explains, “We work closely with our students to guide them towards becoming bilingual, whether it is through a conversational language class, online options, or even our language classes for healthcare and social services professionals. Students are not left behind,” Maria adds. “And questions do not go unanswered.”

The Language Learning Center also offers online courses, workbooks, and CDs for students. These materials can supplement their classroom learning through study aids such as practice lessons, self-tests with interactive exercises, quizzes, and audio clips to review accurate pronunciations.

Register for Spring II Classes Now!

Students can register online, by phone, in person at our offices, or by mail. For more information, visit marialanguages.com.

Maria Oliveira’s goal is to guide students towards becoming bilingual by teaching basic phrases and sentences that become usable in a very short period of time. This quick success builds confidence, which in turn makes the learning process enjoyable, productive and effective. Her special combinations of affordability, convenience, and an encouraging environment makes Maria Oliveira’s classes and programs the top choice for effective language learning.

TEAM FROM BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, AND NAPLES, ITALY, WINS XPRIZE AND GOOGLE’S STEM-BASED COMPETITION FOR KIDS, “MOONBOTS”

LOS ANGELES, CA, October 6, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — XPRIZE, the global leader in incentivized prize competitions, and Google today announced Moonshot, cousins ages 10 and 12 from Brooklyn, New York, and Naples, Italy, is a grand prize winner in the 2015 MOONBOTS Challenge, also considered the “Google Lunar XPRIZE for Kids.” MOONBOTS is an international competition that encourages the next generation of space explorers and innovators by inviting kids ages 8-17 to design, create and program their own lunar rover, based on a legend or theory that inspires them about the moon.

Moonshot team members Sasha Cipani, 10, who lives in Naples, Italy; and Dario Cipani, 12, who lives in Brooklyn, N.Y., with his mom and team captain Sara Cipani; didn’t let distance and time zones get in the way of their shared love of the moon. They worked together online to create their video submission, and then built and programmed their one-of-a-kind simulated lunar mission together using the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robotic platform during Dario’s family vacation to Italy last summer. Their inspiration was Luna, Dario’s sister and Sasha’s cousin, and the idea that the moon we all share can bring people together — just as it brought their family together.

Later this month, the cousins will take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan together to meet the official teams competing for a $30 million dollar Google Lunar XPRIZE, a global competition to land a privately funded robot on the moon.

“Team Moonshot showed ingenuity and innovation in their robotic building and programming, and were creative and imaginative in the way they interpreted their moon ‘tale,’” said Chanda Gonzales, senior director, Google Lunar XPRIZE. “Dario and Sasha were incredibly engaging, and their mission will provide inspiration for kids all over the world.”

In addition to developing their lunar rover, the cousins contributed to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education by sharing their innovation with underprivileged children through Associazione Quartieri Spagnoli Onlus – a nonprofit organization in Italy.
The kids’ competition attracted 235 teams from 29 countries, who entered phase one by submitting a written or video entry about what inspires them about the moon.

Teams are comprised of 2-4 members (ages 8-17) and one team captain at least 18 years old. A panel of judges selected 30 teams to qualify for phase two, each of which was provided one of three platform systems (LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3, VEX IQ, MECCANO Meccanoid G15 KS) to build and program a unique simulated robotic mission based on the moon tale they submitted in phase one. In addition, they were asked to contribute to STEM education by sharing their innovation with children and adults in their community.

Along with Moonshot, other grand prize winners are: Mecaliks of Cuautitlan Izcalli, Mexico; Team GalacTECHs of Tustin, Calif.; and Linked Lunas of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Since 2010, MOONBOTS has challenged thousands of young people from around the world. In addition to XPRIZE and Google, competition partners include FIRST® LEGO® League, Cogmation Robotics, VEX Robotics Inc., Spin-Master Ltd., the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RECF), GeekDad, GeekMom, Robomatter Incorporated and Dexter Industries. More information, including the full list of finalists, can be found at moonbots.org.

About the Google Lunar XPRIZE
The $30M Google Lunar XPRIZE is an unprecedented competition to challenge and inspire engineers and entrepreneurs from around the world to develop low-cost methods of robotic space exploration. To win the Google Lunar XPRIZE, a privately funded team must successfully place a robot on the moon’s surface that explores at least 500 meters and transmits high-definition video and images back to Earth. For more information, visit lunar.xprize.org/.

About XPRIZE
Founded in 1995, XPRIZE is the leading organization solving the world’s Grand Challenges by creating and managing large-scale, high-profile, incentivized prizes in five areas: Learning; Exploration; Energy & Environment; Global Development; and Life Sciences. Author Netanel Semrik re-launched best-selling book “Jonathan in the Kingdom of Mood Balloons” in English, Chinese, Arabic and Hebrew

Does your child has difficulties to manage their emotions?- “Jonathan in the Kingdom of Mood Balloons” has the answer!

Tel Aviv, Israel, October 1, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — A new release of the best-selling emotional management book by Netanel Semrik. Find the book on Amazon in English, Arabic, Chinese and Hebrew: http://goo.gl/b1iaai

How many times a day are your children emotionally shaken?
How many times have you seen your child throwing a temper tantrum, frustrated, angry, screaming and shouting?

Everything you have tried doing – shouting, caressing, embracing, yelling, punishing – have only served to send them deeper into their emotional turmoil. Have you experienced your children being sad because they had a fight with a friend? They cry, their sadness threatening to engulf them completely and maybe engulf you a little too.

You are probably familiar with the situation in which your little loved ones are in the middle of a jealousy attack; irritating, snatching, pushing one of their siblings who got a gift or attention, exhibiting little to no self-control. Your children’s emotional mood takes over their entire world and it seems as if nothing can stop the emotional storm. Your children’s eruptive behavior is threatening to control you too. You often feel helpless. Now, please close your eyes and imagine your children are able to manage their emotions and thoughts. Imagine them doing it in an easy, simple and intuitive way. Imagine them feeling so comfortable with themselves that they have no problem sharing their feelings with you.

Is it a Dream?
Is it a reality?
Is it possible?

Yes!

They will be able to do it once you allow them to float off to the dreamy world of Mood Balloons. Mood Balloons? Yes. Mood Balloons. Mood and balloons. This is a Kingdom in which each thought and emotion is connected to the tops of our heads by a string: A Mood Balloon.

Every balloon has a unique color representing our mood at any given moment. The Mood Balloon expresses the mood and the color of the world our children are experiencing. Our emotional management tool is intended for children between the 3 -6 years old, the dream period of early childhood. During this period they will meet the very violent world of stimulation and screens which is all around us. The Mood Balloons allow the children to deal with this harsh world by means of little, charming childhood images. This happens with the help of a simple and friendly tool. The Children color their Mood Balloons with five easy steps, and as we, the parents would say, start managing their moods:

Observation: the children are asked to observe the colorful balloons. Every color symbolizes an emotion they experience and feel. (Pink – love, blue – sadness, orange -joy, and so on)

Point of view: the Mood Balloon’s color can mold the children’s perception of reality, causing them to experience and believe a story that is not a true story as if it was. The Mood Balloon’s color is the color through which the children perceive people and things in the world. Attention: We ask the children to pay attention to every emotional storm they experience, which calms them down before the mood takes over their world and colors their Mood Balloon.

Breathing: the children win the key to the kingdom of their personal emotions by breathing.

Success: children who have chosen the color of their Mood Balloon and stand behind their choice will not be emotionally shaken the next time a storm passes by. All over the world thousands of children reading and listening to this story are carried away by this magical and imaginary tale. It fortifies their ability to believe in themselves as the person in charge of their own moods.

The book invites you, the parents, to give your children tools which will enable them to conduct a different conversation with the world. A conversation existing in an indirect and colorful space, without clouding the delicate “I” which wakes up, develops and lands in this word in the years of early childhood. Apparently, there is another option to the limited conversation: “How was playschool today?” with the constant, vague answer: “Fun”. You can ask the children what Mood Balloon they met today. You wouldn’t believe the wealth of stories and experiences that will burst out of that conversation.

The Mood Balloon reality becomes an accessible, easy and simple emotional base through which the child’s experiences are easily accessed and converted.

Middle School Students Unplug from Electronics for A Week-Long Montessori School Retreat

Baltimore, MD, September 18, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — During their second week of school, Greenspring Montessori School adolescent students lived unplugged from cell phones, television, and computers for a truly immersive outdoor learning experience. The Adolescent Community – a group of 8 students ages 12 to 14 – traveled to Echo Hill Camp on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay for a week-long school retreat. They built campfires in a survival class, explored the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem by boat, participated in team-building challenges, and slept outdoors under canvas tents. Accompanied by their instructors, Christina Soares-Heffner and Elliot Dickson, the students learned so much about the natural environment and about themselves.

Christina emphasized, “Each activity, including no flushing toilets and outside showers, challenged and stretched our adolescents into growing and learning in new ways.”

Outdoor learning is a key element of Montessori education, and a major focus at Greenspring Montessori School. The Adolescents’ retreat is a key part of the upcoming year-long study of the natural environment. As part of their Occupations and Humanities studies, the Adolescents have also established a relationship with Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, MD. Several days a week, the class travels to the park to conduct field experiments, hold naturalist seminars, and partner with naturalists to learn more about the area.

From Luca: Scanoeing, swamp canoeing, was my favorite activity even though I fell in up to my knee in mud! Luckily I was wearing a pair of rubber boots! When putting on our live vests, we spotted several frogs, which we observed. We also saw a rare ribbon snake who had just shed. It was a gorgeous day on the canoe. One of my favorite activities was seeing the beaver lodges, which Seth, one of our guides, told us about. There were also many beautiful American lotus flowers that everyone thought was cool.

From Zoe: I think that the sleeping situation at Echo Hill was fun and exciting. We got to sleep on tent platforms with canvas to really experience what it is like to sleep outside. We had mosquito netting over our beds and got to ensure the sound of a rainstorm one night. It was nice being able to bond and get closer to the people in my tent. The bathrooms and showers were interesting. I have never taken an outdoor shower before, and I definitely prefer to shower indoors with curtains. Not having flushing toilets was unique, however next year, I’m bringing Febreeze.

From Augie: Echo Hill’s survival class taught me how to control myself in a survival situation. I learned how to construct a fire and and gather the right materials for a shelter. I also learned the importance of food and water and how to scavenge for it. Overall it was an exceptional experience. Even though everything is a challenge, moving forward I feel more confident in a survival situation!

From Franklin: During our great four days at Echo Hill, we were challenged by the pathfinder. The pathfinder is a rock wall with a cargo net and a rope that you have to climb to reach the trapezes at the top. The pathfinder allowed us to overcome our fears of height, tested our strength, and helped us work as a team. To make us work more as a team, we all had to belay each other. It was amazing to see everybody attempt to reach the top. Some of us were scared, and would get stuck in certain spots, but we all helped each other reach our goals. Another thing that the pathfinder taught us was to create goals. Everyone created and accomplished goals, and even created new ones for next year when we return. Overall the pathfinder was a great and really fun learning experience.

From Willow: The bay studies class was fun and informative. We learned a lot about the water and how it is being polluted. We learned about all the types of creatures that live in the bay. For example the eel. We learned about the different parts of fish. We also got to kiss a rockfish which was pretty cool and funny. We got a chance to touch the eel, and learn about how they nest and reproduce. It was really cool touching the eel. It felt kind of like a snake, but slimy. We learned about the water’s colors and how we see different shades of blue, green, and brown. Captain Annie took a clear glass and asked us what color we see in the water. Some of us said brown, and some of us said green. She filled the clear glass up with water and we all saw clear water. We also learned about the blue crab. We learned that a crab can last 48 hours out of water, how it gets oxygen, and how it can detach its claws from its body when in danger.

From Garrick: Orienteering at Echo Hill was very fun. We started talking about the parts of a compass and how to find north. Next, we were given a specific bearing, a direction, and then had to align our compasses correctly. Finally, we got to make our own maps of any any we wanted and each map included a key, compass, and legend. Overall, I had a really great time in my orienteering class, hosted by Mr. Cole, and am looking forward to going back to Echo Hill next fall.

Negotiator Steven Riznyk discusses how Ashley Madison could help save your relationship

San Diego, CA, September 14, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — People clutched their proverbial pearls when the Ashley Madison scandal hit the news last month. Hackers released the identities of 37 million account holders on a website dedicated to facilitating extramarital affairs. Simultaneously, a resounding chorus of male voices practicing their alibies echoed into the stratosphere. Meanwhile, scorned women poured themselves a glass of Pinot while plotting their revenge.

Despite the larger-than-life nature of the event, it had severe consequences including marital disputes, divorce filings, job losses and even suicide. To avoid further damage, Steven Riznyk, producer of Relationships901, provided insight into repairing damaged relationships.

“If your name was released in one of the 79 countries affected and your partner is aware, giving up is not the only option,” Riznyk said.

According to Riznyk, using a site like Ashley Madison is not the primary problem, but a symptom of something else. The first step in recovery is discovering what that ‘else’ is.

Common reasons that people resort to cheating are a lack of self-esteem or sexual satisfaction, boredom with their partner, or a sex addiction.

“The cause that is most prevalent is that the relationship they are in broke down to some degree and they don’t feel wanted, loved, needed or appreciated,” Riznyk said.

A Fox News study revealed that 7 percent of men who cheat do so for sex, while 48 percent sought an emotional connection.

“Clearly, the cheating isn’t about a better looking person,” Riznyk said. “It’s about the new connection and what it means to the cheater.”

For some, unveiling affairs could be the best thing. It provides the opportunity to discuss grievances and come to a resolution. The majority of relationship breakdowns occur due to insufficient communication.

“Events occur and neither partner brings them up,” Riznyk said. “At some point, one partner may do something that takes the relationship past the point of no return.”

Additionally, partners should create a plan to execute their promises.

“What was missing in the relationship has to be present and the partners have to design a way of making that a reality,” Riznyk said.

Patience and empathy are essential in this process as repairing a relationship is easier said than done.

“All people hear through their own filters, so communication is difficult even under the best circumstances,” Riznyk said. “I can’t stress enough how important it is to listen and try to understand the spirit of what the other person communicating.”

AMCM is Changing How Students are Fundraising

Oklahoma City, OK, June 26, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — Association Motor Club Marketing (AMCM) just announced they will launch their new mobile application, AMCM Presentation, during the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA-PBL) National Leadership Conference in Chicago June 25- July 1, 2015. The app was designed specifically for Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) participating in the AMCM Fundraising Program.

AMCM is one of the only organizations at the FBLA Conference giving students the opportunity to learn technologically advanced business skills by fundraising through their smartphones and tablets. It is also one of the only fundraising options providing students with recurring revenue, another learning opportunity for students.

AMCM partnered with Victory Info Services to utilize Victory’s 360’s mobile platform. This provides students with the necessary tools on their phones to successfully present and complete the sale of AMCM’s roadside assistance and travel discount programs. These tools include a sales presentation and video, plus a communication feature allowing chapter Advisors to connect with their members. Other features of the app include the fundraising FAQs, a gas price finder, weather, roadside assistance demo, and support.

Regarding the inspiration behind the new app, Mark Muncey, Director of Fundraising, explained, “Traditional fundraising efforts have been made with sales of food and candy. Chapter Advisors were frustrated with those options which are labor-intensive as they demand collection and storage of inventory, extensive bookkeeping, and delivery of the product.”

“Our platform is designed to make the fundraising process easier on both students and Advisors,” he pointed out. “The ability for students to participate by using their smartphones to generate a recurring revenue stream is a real homerun for any chapter. We are excited to introduce this program at the FBLA Conference in Chicago.”

“Victory is honored to be working with AMCM, an organization that not only takes a part in helping students build important business skills, but also fundraises for good causes,” stated Mark Burns, Vice President Business Development and General Manager of Victory Info Services. “Because technology will continue to revolutionize how the world does business, it’s more important than ever to equip students with the necessary skills to succeed.”

For information on Association Motor Club Marketing and the new AMCM app, visit www.amcm-online.com or email mamuncey@amcm-online.com. AMCM will be giving away a $500 cash prize during the FBLA National Leadership Conference. Chad Lieberman From 6W Teaches SEO: PPC vs. Organic Marketing

New York City, NY, February 26, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — Chad Ian Lieberman, the lead Search Engine Optimization (SEO) specialist at 6WSEO, today announced the release of yet another of the company’s awesome SEO trainings on Pay per Click (PPC) marketing versus organic marketing.

The training aims at giving businesses insights on why they should opt for search engine optimization for their business websites, as opposed to going for PPC marketing upfront.

“Unlike PPC, SEO offers a long term traffic solution to a business. With PPC, your traffic stops coming in as soon as your pockets run dry. Of course, if you have very deep pockets, you can go with PPC solely. But it is advisable to take advantage of organic traffic from the search engines because it is easily achievable, keeps flowing for the long term, and is very affordable”, said Chad.

Although the SEO process takes time for the results to be visible, Chad advises that it is the best option if what a business seeks are long-term solutions to its web traffic and visibility problems. Organic traffic is timeless and once it starts coming in, it does not stop. The only time it may stop is if the foundation of your SEO campaigns was not on the right pillars, or if you used black hat techniques to achieve your rankings. These reasons may get your site dropped in the rankings or banned altogether when the search engines update their algorithms.

“For new businesses websites, one may opt to go for both SEO and PPC simultaneously. The PPC brings in instant traffic to the website so that you can kick start the business’ web traffic as you wait for the SEO efforts to yield results. However, as soon as your organic traffic kicks in, you should switch off the PPC campaigns. In any case, the organic traffic, if targeted right, should bring in buyers who help you recover/compensate the PPC costs used”, adds Chad.
